This is the front (Public) end of our interactive pages.
From here any Public Groups and pages are immediately visible to anyone entering the site.

Once you have joined the site, by registering here (just requires your name, email address and a password of your choice) and you've logged on you'll be able to see Community Groups on the site, as well, such as 'Avoch Amenities Association' and 'Black Isle Community Choir'.

And when you've logged in you also have the option of joining any of the Private Groups on the site - the following groups are presently available:

  • CHATTERBOX INTERACTIVE ( click here for more info)
  • AAA COMMITTEE If you are a member of AAA Committee join this group on the site and keep in touch with your group. Send a message to the Secretary here asking to be made a member of the site group.

Click on any of the items you see below to interact with them, OR start your own new item - click in the box, add a title and then click the "create" button.
If you want to submit a story for publication in Chatterbox magazine, please use the "Contribute your item" button at the left hand side of your screen.
If you would like help with completing your article, including seeing what story leads are currently suggested, why not join 'Chatterbox Interactive'? If you send me a message saying that you'd like to join this group, I'd be delighted to enrol you, and this contributors' area of the website will then be visible to you.

Reading the help section is highly recommended; it's not very long

TIPS

Do you know that you can send a personal message to any other member of the Community Website from here?
Click the members tab; then click on the member you want; then click the "message" button.

If you want everyone to see your item/message, post it on the relevant page.

Always remember to click "SAVE" before you move on to something else.

Have you looked at Chatterbox on line?

You can view the last and the previous issues with a stylish on-line viewer, turning the pages almost like having the real thing in front of you. Do you like this, and do you use it?
(Click on "Last issue" or "Previous issue" on the home page)

We notice that there has been very little use of the PayPal donation button, so we wonder if the online viewer is providing a service worth having, and would appreciate your feed-back.
The current issue will be added to the on-line viewer pages when the subsequent issue goes on sale. ....(more)

Perfect vehicle for Black Isle community website

Chatterbox has launched this new interactive version of its website, which within styling constraints can develop pretty much as its users want it to
Initially, Chatterbox aims to use the site to improve communication between members of its Editorial Team, as well as to provide a convenient means for anyone to submit stories and all sorts of other content for publication in the quarterly printed version of Chatterbox magazine. But there is no reason why it shouldn’t grow into a much wider means of community communication for news and events etc. - you name it!

It is possible for it to host many private and public user groups allowing interaction for clubs, groups and other community organisations , as well as accommodating individual users. It also allows for the hosting and publishing of multiple content managed websites . ....(more)

Important message for all members

Please update your home page with a little information about yourself, as an aid to communications - and, preferably, (to brighten things up!) also add an 'avatar; which you can either choose from the library, or add a photo.
This is important because, in order to protect the site from bogus users, I propose to periodically edit all members' details and I may remove from the site any weird or unrecognizable users whose entry does not include some sort of personal description.

To update your details on your home page, click on your name at top left (under the Chatterbox logo) and then click the 'edit' tab and type in a short description. Click the avatar to update it.
Please note that photos are limited in size to 1MB, so you may need to edit them before you upload them - (you will receive a warning if you don't!) ....(more)

Join Chatterbox Interactive

We'd be very pleased if you would join our on-line contributors' group, CHATTERBOX INTERACTIVE. This doesn't involve you in becoming a member of the Chatterbox committee (unless you want to, of course), so there are no meetings to attend, minutes to read, or any of that stuff. But it does give you the opportunity to communicate with other group members from your computer (if you want to) and, for instance, pick up on any current story leads and write them up for submission and publication in Chatterbox magazine.
All CHATTERBOX INTERACTIVE items will show on your screen when you have joined.

If you live in or have connections with our area of the Black Isle, in the Scottish Highlands, here is a great way to interact with others without leaving your desktop!
