Hello Everyone
I've been doing some cleaning up around the site and it's possible, if your email address appears not to be a bona fide personal address, that your account has been deleted. It's very hard to tell, sometimes, which addresses are for genuinely personal accounts, as there's a surprising number of people who seem to be devoted to infiltrating sites like ours for nefarious purposes. So it's possible that there are still unwelcome accounts on the site and if you do receive any unwanted messages, as some folk have recently, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IMMEDIATELY.

Zumba size classes springing up in Cromarty and Fortrose!

Jermaine McCracken of SaluVida 4 Health and Wellbeing has started a new dance exercise class based on Zumba and drawing on her 10 years of Latin stlye dance teaching. Cromarty's Victoria Hall on a Tuesday from 7 pm with a floorwork class at 8 pm for core strength. New addition starts Thursday 31st March at the Fortrsoe Community Theatre at 6.30 pm. Classes are £3 for adults and £2 for senior pupils £1 for junior pupils when accompanied by a parent. Hope you can make it home from work on time to join in the fun with her growing group of dance exercisers!
Netball for all ages and abilities

Dingwall Dolphins netball club is looking for new members. They meet every Monday night at Dingwall Academy Sports Hall from 6 pm - 8pm. The club plays netball against other Highland based clubs once a month and has arranged friendly matches on a regular basis. The club has a growing youth team aged under 16 years. If you would like to join in for only £2.50 per week for a two hour training session, lots of fun nad meet new female friends some of whom have recently had babies and are getting fit - please come along on a Monday night or call jermaine to make sure we are still meeting as we go outside to the Resolis Sports Club in the summer holidays.

Avoch Weather Station
Having moved to the village some six months ago, I thought others may be interested to know of my home weather station which uploads data onto the internet in near real time. The data are hosted on the 'Weather Underground' web site, but the following link provides direct access:

Perfect vehicle for Black Isle community

Chatterbox's website is now interactive and within styling constraints it can develop pretty much as its users want it to.
It provides a convenient means for anyone to submit stories and all sorts of other content for publication in the quarterly printed version of Chatterbox magazine and there's no reason why it shouldn’t grow into a much wider means of community communication for news and events etc.
It can host many private and public user groups, allowing interaction for clubs, groups and other community organisations, as well as accommodating individual users. It also allows for the hosting and publishing of multiple content managed websites . ....(more)

Please update your home page with a little information about yourself, as an aid to communications - and, preferably, (to brighten things up!) also add an 'avatar; which you can either choose from the library, or add a photo.
This is important because, in order to protect the site from bogus users, I propose to periodically edit all members' details and I may remove from the site any weird or unrecognizable users whose entry does not include some sort of personal description.
To update your details on your home page, click on your name at top left (under the Chatterbox logo) and then click the 'edit' tab and type in a short description. Click the avatar to update it.
Please note that photos are limited in size to 1MB, so you may need to edit them before you upload them - (you will receive a warning if you don't!) ....(more)
